“The mountains call those whose soul stands as tall

Nasyikat is a travel blogger from Bishkek. She climbs to the turquoise water of Kel-Suu, runs the city streets at sunrise and studies psychology — to understand not only the routes, but the people who walk them.

The Kyrgyzstan you won't find on postcards

Kel-Suu is an alpine lake near the Chinese border that few ever reach. Nasyikat has been there twice — and came back a different person both times. Her routes mean yurts instead of hotels, horses instead of transfers, and nature that doesn't pose.

My beloved Kel-Suu. I can't believe I'm here for the second time… I hope our next meeting will be even more interesting. — from her travel diary

Running as a way to see the city anew

For Nasyikat, sport is not about numbers on a stopwatch. Running began with a simple thought: to explore new places on her own two feet. That is how the streets of Bishkek, park alleys and mountain trails became her running routes.

Add horseback riding in the highlands and trekking: a body that can carry you wherever the soul calls.

Exactly one month since I started running. The whole idea — to explore new places through running. — Nasyikat

Between expeditions — the city: morning coffee shops, curated looks, work with brands. Nasyikat is an ambassador of Gaissina summer looks and a guest of Bishkek's biggest events — from F1H2O races to the openings the whole city talks about.

Travel doesn't change the map — it changes the one who walks it

Nasyikat studies psychology, and you can hear it in every text she writes: she doesn't tell you where to go — she tells you what happens to you on the way. Why mountains heal, why you should run at dawn, and how a night in a yurt with no signal brings you back to yourself. This is a blog about outer routes — and inner ones.
